About Chi Cha Russo

The Russo Family’s roots reach to Sicily and the Neapolitan regions of Italy. Both regions are famed for having cuisines historically influenced by herbs, spices, and sauces introduced by early European and Asian conquerors.

Chi Cha Russo has been cooking and re-creating her Italian family dishes since her early childhood in Northern California. Following in her family footsteps of several culinary experts and restaurateurs, Chi Cha started Russo’s Italian Specialties in 1986 and has been making and selling her own gourmet products for the last 20 years.

In addition to her widely distributed gourmet product line (Russo's Pesto Sauces), Chi Cha owns and operates her 2400 SF Commercial Kitchen in Santa Cruz, located on the beautiful coast of Northern California. When she is not traveling to prestigious food shows throughout California she is busy running a successful Catering Business where her loyal customers keep her booked with referral business year round.

Chi Cha maintains a close connection with the needs of her customers and continues to develop her product line with carefully chosen ingredients. She believes that her demand for freshness and her absolute insistence on authenticity have been essential to the success of the Pesto Products.

Over the years Chi Cha and her products have been the subject of rave reviews in many newspapers and magazines including the Monterey Bay Dining Magazine, The Good Times, The Metro, The Santa Cruz Sentinel, and the Santa Cruz Small Business Monthly. Chi Cha’s Pesto Torta was also featured in the famed Black and White Ball in San Francisco two years running.
